Omega cruise control

The cruise control on my '99 Omega has just given up, nothing happens when I
hit the set button. All the fuses (not sure which one was for cruise!) are
OK. Can anyone suggest what I should look at next please?

Fixed it!

The brake light switch wasn't positioned properly, hence the brake lights
were always on. Of course, the cruise control disengages when the brakes are
on....
