Oil Seal

    Just had car back from main dealers to replace front crank oil seal,

    On checking underneath i found a 2 inch rubber black/ brown rubber seal
    with a spring around the inside is this the old part that has been changed
    or should i get straight back on the phone

    It might be helpful if you said where you found the seal.
    Was it on the ground, lying on some unrelated part of the suspension, or on
    a drive shaft?
    How do you know it belongs to your car?
    Model of car?

    Must be the old one cos if the new one wasn't in you would have an oil leak
    big enough to make an Arab happy.
