Missfiring 1998 Vectra 2.0l

Will run all day at 70-80 mph on motorway but missfires when I put foot down
to overtake. It has the same symptoms as a carburettor with a punctured
accelerator valve diaphragm. Symptoms seem worse after overrun then happens
during acceleration.

Anybody had similar symptoms or can you suggest fault?

I'd go for a HT lead replacement, having had similar problems on my
X20XEV Omega.

Your suggestion sounded credible. I have just bought and fitted a new set of
leads..................................problem sorted!
