    Hi All

I recently bought a Meriva. it was a very good deal if I took it away
quickly so I did not have much choice in the options fitted. The only
thing I really wish I had fitted is the rear 12V outlet. Yes I know I am
    easily pleased:)

My question is there is a blanked off hole in the boot where the 12V
outlet would normally be. I suspect as it is a factory fitted option
Vauuxhall are unlikely to make two looms one with and one without but
before I dismantle half the car looking for it does anyone out there
know if the wire to power this is hiding behind the panel?

I have a new Zafira, it also has no rear 12v outlet, I recently "popped" out
the cover over the hole and found the power lead behind. I would also like
to install the power point, but is the loom connected to the fuse box and
    does it need a relay?

sorry to answer a question with a question, but I'm sure someone out there
    will have the answers

I expect it does come from the fuse box as I said I should not think
Vauxhall make two looms. On mine the other two 12V outs are only live
when the ignition is on so there must be a relay in there some where.
When you found the wire did you try to power a bulb or even use a volt
meter? If it is "live" for safety sake you can always fit an in line fuse.

But like you I am sure someone out there has already done this and can
    give the definitive answer
