Meriva 1.8 Enjoy Cigar Lighter

I've fitted a cigar lighter to my Meriva & it's working ok but I can't find
a spare lead for the illuminating lamp.
Is it ok to link to the + feed on the lighter or should I run a wire to the
side light or similar ?

Depends. If the socket is permanantly live then its not good to have a light
on all the time, even a small one.
