MAF sensor on Corsa

Does anybody have experience of changing the MAF sensor on a 1.0 3 cyl
Corsa GLS, T reg.
What does it do? Where is it? Is it something an amateur could have a go
at? Rough cost?

Takes 1 minute - it is the thing with a wire going to it that fits in the
big black pipe between the engine and air filter.
