Just bought an Omega cam belt? or chain?

    Hi,

    ive just bought an Omega, its done 70,000 miles, it was last serviced at
    55,000,
    Does it have a cam belt or Cam Chain, I was told it may have a chain, also
    what things shall i look out for on these cars please?

    What kind of engine does it have? Most are belt drive, and need
    changing at 40,000.

    Write to or ring up the previous keeper (see the V5 document) and ask
    them when it was changed last. Ask for the invoice as well to absolutely
    prove it.
    Otherwise get it changed NOW - - the car will be scrap when the belt breaks.
