Ello there just recently got a 2.0sri vectra got a fiw problems as I was
driving an old rover 214sei befor that and its a little different

Firstly When im accelerating in first gear off the lights the car can make a
slight high pitch rattly sound and it seems a little bit hesitant to move,
once im in any other gear there are no strange noises. My cousin who has a
calibra took his to the garage and they said it was vibrations causing the
    exhaust to rattle

Second I have brought a black meshed chrome gearknob but how do I hake the
old one off as I dont want to damage anything

Third, when the car is stationary and im clutching down I can hear a few
mechanical clicking sounds, is this normal or have I shafted the clutch?

Fourth, my brother has very kindly put a fag burn in the rear seat, is there
    anyway to sort theese out?

And last but by no means least, I have about 46000 on the clock and im gonna
get the cambelt changed asap, what price is about right and are there any
parts that you think that I should have them check??

I know this is a little on the long side and maybe its just a case of
paranoia but I would like the peace of mind

    Cheers

not sure on the rest of you FAQ's
but get the tensioners, rollers & water pump done at the same time.
(AFAIK there is nothing else on that belt??)
    about £150-£200 mark (i paid £185 for a 2.2 16v sintra last year)
