Headlight out

I have a vectra, R reg, and the headlight is out.

The bulb is OK, and the fuse is OK, what's next? Are there any common
problems with the wiring?

Bulbs sometimes look OK when they are not - have you tried a new one, or
swopping for the one on the other side, just in case?

It's OK, I found out what was wrong. The dipped and main beam are
separate bulbs, and the guy in the shop gave me the wrong bulb, so I
was replacing the working one.

That'll teach me to let him look it up in the book, cos he knows what
he is doing...
