If it is the factory fit alarm you can find out what set it off using Tech2.
What year/model is the car?

If it is the old shape with the 'plug in' module to deactivate the alarm
these can be difficult and play up. Normally the problems can be solved
though.

Believe it or not we have had problems on new shape Frontera with
non-genuine stereos upsetting the alarm! Once the original stereo was
refitted the problems were cured.

Either way it ought to be easy to find the problem.

You have the latest car with the proper alarm so there are no fundamental
problems with it.

Have you had a tech2 done on it to see what set it off?

It happened to me once so we checked the codes. This told me the back left
door had set it off so I checked the sensor and it was full of water! We
dried it out and refitted it properly and it has been fine ever since.

Try with the ultrasonics off. (eg press alarm button when you get out)

If it cures it then you have the same problem as me with my Omega. I have to shut the centre air vent if it is windy or it sometimes goes off.
