I have the opportunity to buy a M-plate Frontera Sport 2.8 diesel, showing
70,000 miles. It seems to be in pretty good condition inside and out, but
is there anything that I should be looking for apart from the usual?

The 'usual' for these is that they're crap. Later ones are more fault free
but early models were badly made and unreliable. I'd avoid this like the
plague.

Incidentally, it's a 2.3 litre diesel.
