fault code 0340

hi
ive got a veccy 1.8 gls (petrol) on a P 1996 and now have a fault code 0340
recently changed camshaft sensor (new vesion got three wires had to wire
into earth shield) and everything fine for about 5 months
cleaned icv AGAIN and now have an intermittent managment light on dash fine
for days then comes on at start up
switch off and restart and no light
car has stalled couple of times put this down to icv now been cleaned
no idea what to look for as incorrect signal could be anything any help much
appreciated
ps revs not limited to 4500 when light on still full range

the 0340 do you know if it is a P a C or a R code??

not sure i just used a wire to get the code from the dash -light flashed up
code 0340
sorry i didnt know there was P C or R prefixes for the codes
kinda leaves me in limbo now

yep its a P CODE for the camshaft sensor,
have you cleaned out the wire connector?
