Engine Management Light

    Anyone any ideas why the engine management light of my 1992 Vauxhall
    Cavalier would constanly remain on despite my despite efforts to fix the
    problem. I have changed the alternator but the light is still on!

    Why change the alternator? the engine management light comes on for many
    reasons but i would not have thought this was one of them. You need to read
    or have read for you the fault codes that are stored in the ECU memory ( if
    any) and take it from there.
