I'm removing a damaged tailgate spoiler to replace it with a new one. I need to disconnect the black connector in the photo. There doesn't appear to be any obvious places to apply pressure to separate the two. I've applied force but feel like I might damage the connector. Any suggestions?

We had same issue a few years ago and if I can remember correctly we searched YouTube. Sorry to be so vague.
