    Hi
I'm having a problem with my battery just now and find that some mornings
there is not enough juice to start the engine, (this is not a problem as
I've ordered a new bettery) however when I do get it started I find that my
radio needs the code put in, my previous vectra had a CCR500 radio which
    didn't ask for the code.

Does anyone know how I can set up the CDR600 to do the same.

    Thanks
    Mark

The method is expained in the audio manual, off the top of my head the
    sequence is something like this:-

    radio on, ignition off
    radio on, switch ignition on
hold 'AS' button whilst switching radio off

after a few seconds the code entry screen should come up on the
display, enter the code then press 'AS' again - if the code is correct
there will be a beep & the code is now de-activated.

Hopefully someone with a manual in front of them can double check
    this....

    Hi
Thanks for that, Maybe I wasn't being clear in my post, I know how to put in
the code, I want to set it so it doesn't ask me to put it in again [disable
    code]

You mis-read the reply. Check the manual and see something just like the
    text posted.

You'll know the coding is off (apart from the obvious occasions of a flat
battery) as when you switch on it no longer says 'code' for a second or two
    (IIRC).

Once you have put the code in to get the radio going, turn the radio off and
then do it all again - second time turns coded feature off - but why do you
    want it off?
Your separate CD changer has a different code so when you put your battery
on you will need to code that too.

Thanks for the reply's, The car didn't come with the audio manual and I find
it a pain having to look out the carpass for the code everytime I have a
flat battery or disconect it to do some work on it.

    Regards
