I've just bought myself a Astra SXI 2002 (3 door model)

I'm looking to remove the drivers side door lock/handle with a back 5 door
"lockless one" so there is no lock to barrel in the handle if any would be
thief wants a go at making a mess of my door.
The passenger side is already like this (I don't know why Vauxhall didn't
just do them both) anyway the question that I would like to ask IS, how easy
    is this to do?

1: Is the door easy to strip down from inside?
2: Would their be a plastic weather film that I would have to remove? and if
I broke this seal could I easy put another one on?

The dealer wants nearly £300 to do what would take me about 2 hours to do
and cost £30 in parts (for lock-less back door handle)

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Dave
