Corsa rear engine mount

    My sons Corsa Merit 1.1 (petrol) has a thump from the floor when he
    changes gear - he`s a bit heavy footed. Yesterday whilst it was up on a
    lift having the tracking aligned, I asked the fitter to shine his lamp
    on the rear engine stabiliser. I could see that the upper part of the
    rubber has been touching the floorpan, and that the whole thing seemed
    rather soft and easily moved about.

    Does anyone know how much movement there should normally be in this
    rubber mounting?
