Hi All, I have a Corsa R Reg .. I think 1998 model. Its a 1 litre merit.. good for a student like me. The problem is when I bought it about a year ago when i started it up it was fine, it would start up fast... but now it starts up fast first time, but when i switch off and try again after a bit it takes ages... 3-4 seconds. I wonder what is causing this, I know almost nothing about cars. I know that the battery has a light on it.. and if I look hard enough it looks like its shining green. Could spark plugs be doing this? Hi, I don't think there is anything wrong with your car, that's just how it works out. I've had loads of different cars - some new, some second hand and they all seem to fire quicker when the engine is cold - I guess its to do with the automatic choke. Nothing at all to worry about. Chris
Forgot to say - the green light on the battery simply tells you that it is in good nick - original vauxhall batteries have this 'indicator' Chris
