Corsa..."C"

  1. Anybody know when V/M are likely to rectify the problem with the
door-seals....everytim the car is washed, the interior gets a rinse.

Another annoying problem has been the clutch-pedal rubber.....tried
swapping with the brake-pedal rubber and also tried a new pedal rubber,
we've even tried numerous adhesives....the fault is obviously the pedal
itself being too small but neither the dealership nor V/M would listen.

The dashboard warning lights have played-up and have had to be reset twice.
    Colin.

    Sounds like you've been unlucky.

This is the reason that I don't use car washes. They apply water and brushes
to cars in unusual angles. I would not be inclined to blame the car unless
water gets inside at other times.

There are alternatives to main dealer pedal rubbers. You could try an
accessory shop or two. If it doesn't work, take it back. I don't think it's
normal to use adhesives. Most of them just slide snugly onto the metal
    pedal.

  3. I DON'T use car washes.....there IS water ingress and WHY should I have to
bother with accessory shops when the manufacturers and dealerships should
    correct the faults??? Colin.

Vauxhall supply auxiliary door seals for Corsa C's. They usually pay for
them as well. Your dealer needs to get his act together and ring the
technical help line. If you get no joy let me know if your car is a 3 or 5
door and I will get you the part numbers.

I have started to stick pedal rubbers on with body sealer and so far so
    good.

What fault codes did Tech 2 show up when he plugged it in? If you have had
to take it back 3 times there must be a fault.

it sounds like you need to get a second opinion on the door seals from
another VX garage. it is almost as if the one you have been to don't really
know their left arm from their right.

i am constantly using my mobile in my car and i have never had any problems
with this affecting the car in any way.

the garage should have been able to give you a report on what was actually
shown up on the Tech 2 test.

i pressure hose of my car most weeks and never have the problem of any water
ingress into the car. the only time that i did get an ingress of water was
when one of the rug rats left the rear window slightly open. not enough to
see at first but the water pressure was enough to force it up and over the
    top of the glass.
