Corsa C battery light coming on

Discussion in 'Corsa' started by Grease and Chips, Feb 10, 2007.

  1. About every 20 minutes the battery warning light is coming on with a
brief flutter on the intrument panel lights. The engine is not affected.

I'm guessing that the altrenator is getting a bit old (37k)and ready to
give up. Is it feasible to change the brushes in these? It's an ecotec 1.0

    Thanks

FWIW, it sounds like the voltage regulator/rectifier pack is on its way out,
not the brushes. They are part of the alternator, but I dont know if you can
    just replace them alone.
