Corsa Battery Removal

Discussion in 'Corsa' started by david_trafalgar, Oct 24, 2007.

  1. Hi group. Can anyone help with this. The battery of a Corsa is captive
behind some plastic trim parts below the windscreen. I cannot see
which (or where) screws to remove. Does the whole plastic piece come
off as one with the washer jets? Help please.

Dumb design this - if you look near the bonnet hinge on the plastic screen
trim you will see a torx screw - take this out and get someone to help you
and you just get enough room to get the battery out. If you want to do it
properly - take the rubber strip off that runs across the bulkhead - pull
off the plastic trim around the centre screw you can see - pull the loom
that goes across the plastic trim forward - undo the screws at either end
and the centre one and lift forward the trim over the battery. It is easier
to do than it sounds but is quite hard to put into words.

  3. Much obliged. As you say, 'dumb design', or is it just to keep the
    amateurs away. Thanks again.
