My son has a '97 Corsa B which has lost drive. The near side drive shaft appears to have pulled out of the differential. Pushing the drive shaft back into the diff it moves about one quarter of an inch and re-engages the drive. The same has happened on a Corsa owned by a friend of his? Is this common? I've removed the drive shaft completely and there is about 2 inches of end to end pay in the differential CV joint i.e. pull the drive shaft and it stretches the differential end CV joint by 2 inches, (but no rotational play) Is this normal?
