    Hi Folks

I've got a 'W' reg Vectra CDX with CCR600 radio and a Blaupunkt 6 cd
changer. I had work done on the car and they disconnected the battery so
when I got it back there was no radio etc. I've put the code in for the
radio and that works fine but when I try to play a CD I get a 'CD -
SAFE' message. How do I enter the code? Also how do I remove the unit
from the glove box so that I can take it to my local car audio place to
    get the code?

Code should be on the same card as the radio one.
The audio manual has details on how to enter the code.
Failing that check with your dealer before removing the cd player.

    Hi
I didn't have the card with the code on when I bought the car. I took
the radio to a local car audio place and they looked it up. I've decoded
the radio without problem but it looks like I'll have to take the CD
changer in to the same place to get the code for that. I've worked out
how to remove it from the car. I've just looked through the audio manual
and found how to enter the code too :) I phoned my local Vauxhall
dealer to ask them about the codes. They wanted £25 + vat just for the
radio code and it would take 3-4 days!

You should have recieved a "Car Pass", credit card sized piece of card
with all sorts of stuff, radio code, cd code, key number, security code
etc. Chase up the supplying dealer or contact the previous owner (by
    letter - enclose an SAE).
I did that with an old Astra diesel, got loads of info, radio code,
alarm code and a pile of interesting invoices. One of which explianed
why it had a brand new gearbox!
