CD Player Problem, Vauxhall Omega

The CD player in my Omega Estate is playing up. The CDs go in and then
the whole unit starts making a clicking noise. Sometimes it plays,
sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it won't eject the CDs.

Does anyone know what is causing this? Should I replace the unit? If so,
do I have to get a Vauxhall unit or can I install any CD player?

And while I'm at it, the radio reception has always been useless. Given
that my car doesn't have an aerial, I assume it uses the rear window
heater as an aerial. Does anyone know where the connector is?

Sorry if I'm asking obvious questions. Used to drive a Morris Minor.
things were so much simpler then...

    TIA

i would be inclined to run a cd cleaner disc in it,
though if u r brave, a good vacuum with a light sash brush would not go a
    miss.
as 4 the aerial, might be front also, but yea they r crap.
sorry not sure where connector is to sort it but some do have in-line amps
    that sometimes require a tweak
