CD/MP3 unit for Vauxhall Astra CD (2000)

Looking for a replacement for the Kenwood unit in my Astra which has been
playing up lately, have the add-on fitted to enable use of the steering
wheel controls and the matrix display. The steering wheel controls have been
flaky for a while and today the unit has died completely ... going to have
it checked out but I'd like to know what's available so I can weigh up the
cost of getting the existing one repaired against getting a new unit.

Would need to work with the steering wheel controls and use the matrix
display too if possible.

Hello,

For the money you are going to spend you might be better looking on eBay for
the proper Vauxhall one. It will just fit into place, I think they are
branded "VDO" or something.

 

It's the VDO on the latest model, but seeing he already has harness for
the Kenwood he would be better sticking with them

With luck Mal will know the make and model of the harness and will
be able to source a unit that use that particular harness.
