Cavalier Turbo (or not)

Morning all. Can anyone give me an idea how much it'd likely cost to have
the turbo fixed/replaced on a 1.7 isuzu engine in my 93 cavalier cd td. I
just recently bought the car, knowing not much about diesels. Now it turns
out the turbo ain't working. Garage says it might be the wastegate sticking,
might be the turbo knackered. Has anyone any experience of this? If so, what
kind of charges can I look forward to in either case?

In what way do you mean - not spinning ? no power ?

Figure on £250 plus VAT for an average recon. Then add on labour
charges, seals, etc.

leaking manifold gasket on mine caused turbo not to work
fitted new gasket no more problems
