Cavalier problems

    Hi,

    I have a Cavalier SRI 2ltr on on G reg.It's been cutting out with my the
    last weeks on then will not start again,It turns fine but will not fire,I
    notice some of the time before cutting out the rev gauge goes franticly up
    and down the cuts out.
    Can anyone help on this.

    Sound like the ignition amplifier is breaking down (located under the coil
    on a large silver heatsink). Any good motor factors sell replacements.

    Cheers Steve i'll have a look at that.
    The Haynes will be out for that.
