cavalier loosing power & cutting out

    hi i hope someone can help me
    got a cavalier sri 16v 2.0 ecotec engine
    the problem is when im accelerating the car looses power if i change down
    gear it seems to come back ,, although on occasions it doesnt also when like
    this if i pull over to stop the engine cuts out.
    could this be injectors ??
    fuel pump ??
    any help would be appreciated

    Could be something as simple as a blocked filter ... or airlock.
