Just an update on this "long saga" heater blower not working on settings 2,3, and 4 but is either on full, or off! Eventually sussed that the switch is goosed, stripped the dashboard down (as if i was changing the bulb) and tried to get access from the passenger footwell to unclip the bowden cables from the rear of the dashboard unit so that section could be removed , allowing access to the switch! Uh Uh! big mistake, can`t get near the damn thing. Has anyone changed the switch on a vauxhall cavalier 1.7 TD 'N-Reg' and actually managed it, and if so, how?
