Cavalier Hatchback Boot Stuck Shut

Hi,

can anyone tell me how to get the locking mechanism off the hatch of an 89 cavalier hatch, as mine is stuck shut. I have removed as much of the rear trim as possible, but cant get the lock off or get to the mechanism that releases the catch

hi, can't you get inside the boot from the rear seat entrance,pull them forward you should be able to get at your lock and probably free it from there
