Cant get front wheel off.

I recently put my car in for an MOT and knew anyway that I needed 2 new
front tyres. Problem is that the garage couldnt remove one of my
barely-legal tyres (front left.) It's not a small garage but quite a good
one with a good reputation. The guys were nice and said that they couldnt
get the tyre off and didnt want to force it and maybe shear the nuts. What
can I do? I've heard someone say to "heat" underneath the tyre but I dont
know????

Any ideas?

keep trying with an air gun.
it will eventually come off
or a very long tommy bar and hit it with a large hammer to break the binding

i've found it takes at least 5-10 mins on my gun but every one i have had
was told is stuck did eventually move,

Probably an impact wrench will be better than a regular one
