    HI,

I have been having a few problems recently with my lpg system. The main
problem is that it keeps switching itself over to petrol whilst driving
and the only way to get it back on lpg is if i leave the engine turned
off for 10 minutes and try again! Also, the performance of the car on
petrol seems to be way too sluggish, runs no better than when on lpg,
could this be a tuning problem? Any help or advice would be appreciated
before i take it to local garage. The car has been serviced regularly
but there is no history for any servicing to the lpg system, i`ve only
had the car for 6 months and i havent had it serviced myself so i`m
guessing it has never been serviced. If anybody could give me a rough
figure for a service to lpg system it would be appreciated as i havent a
    clue what work gets done!

    Thanks, John

Just a quick thought off the top of my head, but it sounds like both systems
    are (intermittantly) running together.
I had the same on my old range rover and it ran like a bastard when it
happened. I tracked it down to a dry solder joint on the board of the LPG
systems ECU. Could be similar on yours -cant say obviously exactly-but I
would examine as much of the gas systems wiring as you can get at, looking
for frayed wires, and paying particular atention to any joints/plugs etc,
    looking for corrosion.

Thanks for the info Mike, i`ll have a good look in the morning. Just
changed the plugs and ht leads thinking it might just be an ignition
fault, made no difference at all. Somebody suggested on another forum to
get the filters changed on lpg system and to check exhaust system for
leaks. Well, i`ve just found a big crack in the exhaust manifold, would
this have an effect on lpg system at all? I don`t suppose you also know
what gets done on a service for lpg do ya Mike? And roughly the cost?
    Thankyou for your help!
