Calliper / Hand Brake issues

    I owned two Vauxhall Astra both Petrol. Astra 2007 reg 1.6 petrol I have the issue with Braking System.

    Recently I have Paid over £100 for Front discs and brake pad including labour and Parts. Now since I got the car back from Garage the new issue started with hand brake. Due to reside on the top of the hill I can not park due to ineffective hand brake. Been back to Garage but now after close inspection Mechanic advised me to it need new Calliper and Hand Brake cable.

    Now I need constrictive advice before I spend any money as I think it might be something else rather than Calliper. Garage advice me that Calliper is sticking and not returning to its position when hand brake is off.

    advice needed.
