    Hi guys..
I still have this annoying problem. I have a Calibra 16v and for some reason
sometimes when i stop and leave it for a few minutes it wont start again.
Its like its run out of petrol but it hasnt. If i was to leave it for an
hour or so it would start fine and work again for a reasonable time, then,
just when you think its ok it does it again. I have also noticed when it
does this if i put the sidelights on and use the indicator all the ignition
lights come on.... even with the key out of the ignition...
Its had new plugs, leads, dizzy cap, coil and coil module,
Any mechanics familiar with the Vauxhall Calibra have any ideas on this????
Last time it had the plug in box on it showed no faults!!

Have you replaced the fuel pump relay - used to be a big problem with
    Cavalier/Calibras?

Have you replaced the ignition block on the back of the ignition switch? It
activates your parking lights so maybe feeding back into the ignition
    circuit.

Yea - we had loads of vauxhalls with the same problem.

When you turn the key - just turn it a little bit further than the ignition
position when it starts to turn over - no further. It is possible to
actually turn the key past the ignition setting on it, so that the car turns
over the starter, but the ignition doesnt have any supply.

Id replace the ignition switch "buscuit" at the back of the keyswitch - they
are very prone for breaking down.

Just remembered, when it broke down i set the switch in ignition position
and tried to tow start it no no avail..... do you think that would rule out
that idea?? Ill still examine the ignition switch though.
