Just swapped my Vectra for one of these, but it's severly leaking water, the
guy was adamant it was the water pump and was going to fix it for me but i
chose to have 6months tax instead
Can this happen if a water pump goes? (had one replaced in an Lreg Astra
once it made alot of noise but there was no leakage)
    cheers

Sounds like a shit deal. A Vectra for a Calibra water pump.
Bad move. Was he a trader? Should have got the water pump sorted, and then
if anything major goes wrong (due to the thing previously overheating) then
you've got every right to request a refund.
Yes, they can leak. Mainly if the seal is buggered. If it's severely
leaking water, don't drive the thing. Get it towed to a garage and get them
to replace the water pump, and to do the cambelt while they're at it
(they'll have to take it off anyway to replace the water pump).

    lol.

My dad knows a mechanic, he's coming round tomorrow to make sure it's the
water pump i need, I tried a garage, they want £210 parts and labour, when a
    water pump costs £20 - £25 on autovaux.co.uk!
    thanks for the reply

The cam kit is around £80. Was that included?
