Astra Passenger seat

A friend has a nearly new Astra 1.6 van. He has moved the
passenger seat back and it has jammed, Seat back will not lock and keeps
falling forward.
He does not want to go to the main dealer he bought it from
(fell out over something or other! ) and his local garage have spent two
hours dismantling the seat but were unable to remove it.
Any ideas or diagrams welcome.

The van will be under warranty and anyone removing the seat will need to
know how to disable/refit the seat belt pre-tensioners.

I would get him to visit another Vauxhall dealer.
Removing/rebuilding/refitting the seat is not difficult if you know what you
are doing so I suspect the person doing it doesn't! The Vax dealer may not
be willing to do it under warranty if it has been tampered with first
though.
