Astra Cooling Fan

    Its a Astra Estate 2.0 Turbo diesel 1998. Turned the engine off tonight when
    I got home and the cooling fan kept running as well as the air con fan. I
    thought it was strange but thought the engine must be warm so engine
    management cooling the engine down. Went back about hour later fans still on
    battery about dead. Recharged battery and as soon as you reconnect the
    battery the cooling fan comes on. Had to remove fuse 4 in the engine bay to
    turn the fan off.
    Any idea's anyone?

    might be the temp sensor, i think it's on the righthandside of the radiator
    just below the pipe.
