Ello there just brough a 98 vectra for just 7500 but theres a couple of
little niggy things wrong with it

1., when depressing the accelerator i can hear a pop and a hiss
2., when braking the brake warning light comes on but there working fine?
3., the ecu light comes on quite a bit and the lights will flicker and the
car will feel really juddery then it will be fine
4., the gears sound like there a bit clunky sometimes, I have been able to
set off in 2nd a few times.
5., theres some black smoke coming out of the exhaust sometimes but im
    using normal petrol

I know theses are only minor problems and i think i got a good deal on the
car so im prepared to pay a little more to fix it up.

    Thanks

Oh one thing i forgot to mention there was also a rattly sound coming from
the engine, openend it up and found some bolts that were taken out for some
reason b4 i brought it, probably replaced them, so i just threw them away
and it doesnt rattle any more but i swear the front (not the back) it seems
lower on the ground compared to other vectras

Buying a car, rule 1. In a private sale view and buy the car at the
address of the registered keeper and NO WHERE else.

    Is this a wind up?

    £8,500 for a 98 Vectra?
Threw a few bolts away that you found under the bonnet?
Met the seller away from home?
Lots of problems with the car?

Agreed, must be a wind up. That car is worth no more than - - what --
    £2000 ? IF it exists . . . . .
