Alpine HU in G Type Astra

    I'm considering installing an Alpine head unit in my G Type Astra (2002).
    Has
    anybody done this? How easy is it to get the extra power cable to the
    battery?

    I installed a sony head unit ok.

    well when i say ok i mean it is ok now.

    it took some doing as the space behind the HU is tight.

    didnt have to use any extra cable to the battery tho.

    just used the cables that came with the HU,

    standard fittings now i think.

    i also had to install a smart lead to maintain use of controls on
    steering wheel.

    that caused me lots of problems...again only cos of lack of
    space...connecting it was a doddle.
