Alarm on and car was unlocked

    Something really strange happened with my vauxhall zafira tourer.
    I got from home and looked at the car the alarm light was on flashing assuming alarm is on and the car is locked.
    I pull the handle and the door opened and warm goes off.
    Is that possible my partner last used the car and she locked the car alarm was on flashing on the dashboard but still was able to open the door without the key?!
    Is there any function that might cause this. I am absolutely shocked
    Please give advice
