Hi,to all i have been having problems with the aircon on my 97/P Calibra V6
i was going to have it re gassed when the light on the aircon button stopped
working,i have priced up a new switch but does anyone know if there could be
a problem with a fuse or something else before i fork out for the new
switch, sorry if it sounds like a stupid question but Vauxhall want £36 for a
    new switch.

i would confirm it IS a faulty switch/light first by bypassing it.
    if the aircon is faulty itself (i'e as u say-needs a re-gas)
then it (the ECU) will disable the system, thus the switch will not work.

what are the symptoms behind you thinking it needs a re-gas.

Thanx for the reply,i think it needs a regas as the last time i used it the
    air wasn,t blowing cold.
    Cheers Russ.

just had my omega re-gassed, the symptom was that the compressor was not
    running
i would fine a small independent refigeration place to check it as the main
dealer has just charged me £115 for diagnose and recharge.
