Agila - driver's side door lock not working (manual lock, not central locking).

    When the key is turned, the "button" inside springs up as it should. However, when the outside handle is lifted up, the door remains locked. It can be unlocked from the inside, using the lever on the door. Any ideas of the cause? rusting? broken spring?
