    Hi all,

Am planning to sell my 96 N-plate 1.8GLS Vectra Hatch shortly, but it's due
an MOT next month. Always had full service, but with 138k on the clock, and
knowing of other problems like display unreadable, rear o/s central lock
stopped working last week, intermittent starter-motor not engaging, and
generally getting a bit shabby inside and out, it'll probably be
mega-expensive to get it sorted and MOT'd.

Trying to sell without MOT is normally unwise, but could it be worth selling
very cheap to a DIY-er, rather than spending maybe £400 or £500 and still
struggling to sell afterwards? What would be a fair asking price without
    MOT?

    Any advice / suggestions appreciated.

    TIA

It is worth nothing with no MOT and you will get far more with an MOT. Have
you tried to get it through? I would have one done and price up any work.

Nothing at all at all at all? :-(
Not yet - but fear it will be so expensive, the whole exercise becomes
    uneconomic.
Thanks for your reply, Alan. I'll take your advice, grit my teeth and give
    it a try!
