    Hi there,

My battery went flat after a 3 week holiday and I haven't got the code
to unlock my Blaupunkt CAR 300 (D) for a 96 Astra LS. Plenty of numbers
on the side so hopefully I have the right ones.

    GM 0300 T5070658
    No.:90 532 620
7 645 852 520 (not sure what this one is!)

Can anybody help with a code to unlock this baby? If you can help,
please email - Thanks in advance!

sadly none of those are correct
plus what is the point of putting a security system on the radio to prevent
it being stolen, when the passcode is on the side of it?

you might be able to get someone to punch that code in their program and
    give you the code

    it will be 4 digits

might be scrawled in your owners manual somewhere by a previous person
or it should be on the security credit card thingy that came with the motor.
have a carefull look at every scrap of paper that came with the car.
it might be pencilled in somewhere.
else, your freindly vauxhaul dealer 'might' just give it you FOC.

the radio can be done at many 'local' car audio establishments (see the net
    for your area)
    cost will be £10-£15 quid

If you go down to the main dealer today
    you will get a surprise
for if you give them the VIN
the code appears before you eyes

I had to do it years ago for my 1996 Astra for £6, I don't know how much it
    will be now.
They gave me a card with all the relevant numbers printed on it.

    Hope that helps

A dealer will probably charge around £15 + VAT now but they can do it
in minutes. Vauxhall charge dealers so they will not do it for free.

This is a longshot but if you can identify the supplying dealer still
they MAY have the number on file and tell it to you over the phone for
free. We started recording the numbers on our computer in 1995. CAR300s
are 10 a penny so no one would be after the number for a stolen one.

Alternatively, most dealers have dozens of them kicking around after
fitting new CD players. Your local dealer might be tempted to sell/give
    you one of them?

Bear in mind that the dealer can only get the code for the original
radio, if a replacement has been fitted at any point in time you're
stuffed, as I found out to my cost :-(.

well no, it can be done, but correct that a vauxhall dealer will not do it.

I recently obtained the code for the CAR300 in my 97 astra from:

    www.radio-code.co.uk

It cost 6 quid (I paid using paypal) and I got the code straight away
    and it worked.

    Regards
