I have a 95 astra 1.4 Merit. Problems of hot starting have gradualy
got worse from only happening in hot weather to cold weather. I have
been told its probably the air intake temp sender but I cant get the
part in local scrap yards or on ebay. It has a brass nut and screw
thread as part of the body o the sensor

Somebody told me this has a resistance of 2k when cold which it does
and 400R when hot. as I cant get the part Im thinking of switching a
resistance in parallel to the sensor to bring it down to 400R when I
try and start it hot. Then switching it out when starting cold. I
would appreciate any response about if this might work
