4 peeps from Astra bonnet?

    Anyone know where the battery is located for powersounder on new style Astra
    alarm system? About 4 or 5 seconds after turning the ignition off I get 4
    loud 'peeps' from under the bonnet which I am told is the alarm system
    charging it's own battery which is near it's end of life?

    The battery is built into the power sounder (nsf wheel arch). You need a
    new one and as it needs to be coded using your car security code it is
    really a dealer job. Ring round for quotes though.

    Thanks for the info, I believed the sounder was under the wheelarch but the
    peeping sound seems to come from the upper bulkhead section on the passenger
    side so I hoped it may be remote from the sounder.
