Hi I am new to this site , I have a 2012 astra estate automatic/tip tronic gear box , Its go a problem which the local vauxhall dealer can't work out . When the engine is warm after about 30/40 mins into a journey when you pull up to a junction with your foot on the brake the engine starts to hunt the tone picks up then drops but the rev counter needle does not move , the dealer said that it was the clutch sticking so suggested changing the gear box oil , this did not work , it does not do it when in manual mode or in neutral when the engine is warm and foot on the brake, The dealer said they don't know whats causing it and to take it to a gear box specialist. I asked them if they would contact Vauxhall direct to see it they have come across this problem before but they said there was no point as the computer shows no error codes ??!! any body on hear come across this before .
