My (new to me) 2011 Astra Excite 1.4L petrol failed to start on a cold morning recently. The RAC guy flagged the coolant sensor, as the gauge read 60c with a cold engine and ambient <10c (Also had code P0119). I've got to get it to the garage 13 miles (~20 minute drive) away for them to look at it.

If I disconnect the sensor would it be alright to drive it the 13 miles @ a max of 60mph?

Provided you haven't experienced any issues with overheating and your coolant system is solid, I can't see a problem with it. Sensor on or off you ecu will take it into account and adjust accordingly. Might make it run a bit rough but should be fine.
