    Hi,

I'm considering buying an 'S' plated Vectra 2.0 SRi 140 Tourer. The car has
lots of toy's and a dealer service history up to 4k miles ago, and appears
to be in good nick - I'm going over for a test drive at the weekend, and am
wondering if there's anything I should look out for on this model??

Are there any common faults etc that I could be looking for?

Are they a good motor?? - I've never owned a Vauxhall before and have driven
Merc company cars for the last 15 years so have not much experience in
    'other' makes.

    Many thanks,

    Jimbo

i have never owned the SRi tourer, but i have had several 2.0ltr estate
vectras before and they are very nice cars to own and drive. great pack
horses when needed but don't look like the old square estates that you used
    to get.

only had a couple of problems with mine that were easy to sort out. first
estate 'R' plate the cam and crank sensors failed within weeks of each other
so if one goes get the other done at the same time. the second one was 'W'
plate and i had trouble with the IAC valve again easilly sorted.

otherwise a lovely car, would still have one if it was not for finances that
pushed me down to a corsa. but even these are great little buggies to whiz
    around in.
