1996 Vectra Locks then Unlocks problem

Hi

Apologies is this has been covered before, a quick google search yielded no
results.

I have a 96 Vectra with the two button keyfob remotes. When I attempt to
lock the car with the remote, it locks, then unlocks.

However if I press the lock button then quickly move out of range (or shield
the remote) the second unlock doesn't happen.

This happens on both keyfobs, tried changing the batteries & reprogramming
them, to no avail. Anyone got any ideas?

I would try unplugging each door wiring loom in turn - easy to do without
taking any panels off.
If that doesn't show up the guilty motor try unplugging the ecu for a few
minutes.
